What is Forensics 101©?

Forensics 101 DC Metro, LLC is a mobile science education initiative that offers a wide selection of individual workshops and group programs (including programs for schools, daycares, libraries, church groups, homeschool groups, community youth groups, festivals, community events, and more). We have developed an invigorating out-reach science education program that brings forensic science-related, hands-on experiments to youth, teens and families across the DC Metro Region. Our mission is to encourage continuous learning and achievement in science by developing and delivering high quality, in-depth forensic science learning experiences. Our objective is not only to educate, but to also stimulate a sense of excitement about the various science disciplines. Besides, we know everyone loves a mystery!

Forensics 101, Inc enables participants to bridge the gap between scientific theory and its application to real world problems. We provide students with hands-on science that complements current science curriculum. Our multidisciplinary workshops use biology, chemistry, and technology to understand forensic science using the various laboratory skills, techniques, and methods commonly used during forensic investigations.

Because safety is our number one concern, Forensics 101, Inc offers a safe lab environment, with protective eye wear, lab coats, and gloves. All of our blood and other biological material is synthetic and we do not use dangerous or hazardous chemicals. Students are instructed on and constantly reminded of safe lab practices. Forensics 101, Inc is a fully insured corporation.
